The heavenly beautiful island Mauritius is located approximately 3.000km from the
East African coast and is an island rich in contrasts: long white beaches surround dark blue
lagoons, green sugar cane plantations at the foot of black mountains and flaming
red Flamboyant Trees in front of white colonial houses enclosed in perfectly maintained green palm
gardens.
The tropical rain forest in the south west and the famous coral gardens on the
coast are other natural highlights. On Mauritius live over one million people,
a multi culture of Indian, Creole, Chinese and European - altogether influence
the culture of this island.
No wonder that Mauritius ranks as one of the most popular destination amongst honeymooners.
Apart from special honeymoon extras, numerous hotels offer high discounts for the bride between
the months of May to September. Air Mauritius even gives wedding couples special
rates and preferential treatment during this period.
